Making Scented Soy Candles

Prepare your materials and equipment. You will need a soy wax, an external heat source, wick, containers and molders, colorants, oils and fragrances. Assemble your equipment. Place your soy wax on a stainless steel pot and slowly heat on medium fire until it melts and become completely syrupy. Once it is dissolved and liquefied completely, remove it from the fire. You then add the fragrance oil that you desire. Stir this one evenly until the fragrance is absorbed by the soy wax. You can also add the colorants to make it more appealing to the eyes. Position the wick at the center of the container or mold. After that, pour the melted soy wax from the pot into your container. Pull the wick up, you may use a pencil to roll it up and let it stay at the center. Once the wax solidifies and turns completely cool, trim the wick.
