Soy is natural, and burns a beautiful soot-free flame. It does not give off carbon into the air making it very environment friendly. Whether you are a beginner or a professional candle maker, you will really love making scented soy candles.

In the process of creating and playing with designs, shapes, colors, and fragrances, you will need basic materials for you to get started. Remember, this is a fun thing to do that will make you test and experience your craftsmanship. This could be very profitable too!

Prepare your materials and equipment. You will need a soy wax, an external heat source, wick, containers and molders, colorants, oils and fragrances. You will also need a candle thermometer, ribbons for added design, stirrer and scissors. These materials can be found in any candle store or crafts and arts shop.

Assemble your equipment. Place your soy wax on a stainless steel pot and slowly heat on medium fire until it melts and become completely syrupy. Once it is dissolved and liquefied completely, remove it from the fire. You then add the fragrance oil that you desire. Stir this one evenly until the fragrance is absorbed by the soy wax. You can also add the colorants to make it more appealing to the eyes. Position the wick at the center of the container or mold. After that, pour the melted soy wax from the pot into your container. Pull the wick up, you may use a pencil to roll it up and let it stay at the center. Once the wax solidifies and turns completely cool, trim the wick.

Now you have a beautiful soy candle! Use it as an ornament in your bedroom or living room. Let it give you light during your home dinner with your loved one. You may even send this as gift to your best friend. Or, make a good profit and jumpstart your candle making business now. Keep your creativity and passion burning!

This is can be an enjoyable and at the same time a profitable hobby. It makes you play with colors, designs and shapes that will make perfect gifts, home decors, and even as business pieces you can sell for a profit.

Candles are created out of various waxes. Among the many different types, a gel candle is one of the most exceptional in terms of how it looks and burns much longer compared to other variety of wax.

To get you started, you will be needing basic candle making materials like an external heat to melt the gel, a gel wax, zinc wicks, containers, essential oils and fragrances, candle colorants, and embeds that you can set in at the bottom of your clear container to give your gel candle added beauty. The most common container you can have could be a small glass, goblet or wine glass you can find even in your kitchen. These clear containers will exhibit the embed you added like marbles, sea shells, jewels and pebbles. You can easily have these materials from candle making supplier or arts and crafts shop.

Once you have the materials ready, start by placing hot glue at the bottom of the container. Place your wick on top of the glue and let it dry. Place the embed designs that you want and put it in one corner while you prepare to heat the gel wax. Place your gel in a stainless steel pot wax and melt it using a medium external heat.

Thermoregulation is vital in gel candles for it not to lose its transparency. Make sure you melt it only at 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the gel wax becomes smooth and syrupy, you may now add the colorants little by little until you achieve your desired color. If you plan to have embeds, make the color as light and subtle as possible for you not to obscure the design. You may then carefully add your fragrances. After that, pour your gel into the clear container. Pour evenly, carefully, and slowly. Pull the wick up and let the gel candle cool.

Now you have a beautiful gel candle. Use this to beautify your home or surprise the person you love with your creation! You may also sell this and make a great profit! Enjoy!

Candle making is an aftermath of creativity and passion. The desire to make colors shapes and styles that are appealing to the senses. And for your candle creations, you need to have a mold that will help you achieve the products of your thinking.

Although there are many candle making molds available, the most preferable today is a silicone mold. A silicone candle mold is easy to use even if you are newbie. It has a stretchable and flexible material so you can easily take out the finished product. But even if you are a professional candle maker or a business-minded enthusiast, you can never go wrong with a silicone candle mold.

It is easy and convenient to use a silicone candle mold. First, select the type of wax to use. Omit a gel wax because it is incompatible with silicone. Melt your selected wax using an external heat source for it to liquefy and fit your silicone candle making mold. The great thing about silicone candle mold is that you do not need to spurt a vegetable spray or any release solution spay into the candle mold. After the wax warms to the desired temperature you can pour it directly into the mold. Pour it slowly to avoid bubble formation that could disfigure your candle.

You can also add scents, fragrances and colors before the wax totally solidifies. Let the wax cool and eventually harden. But before it completely hardens, don’t forget to put your wick. Once it is completely cooled and hardened, remove the candles from your silicone candle making mold. And lastly, now you have a candle for a finished product.

You can have various designs and shapes and even colors. Silicone candle molds can be purchased in arts and crafts stores or candle specializing stores. You can even custom-made your own silicone and create wonderful gifts and business novelty. Be unstoppable and test the infinity of your creative ideas.

The entire process is fun and puts your creativity in control. First you decide the type of candle you want to create. Then you gather the items and materials you’ll need. If you want to avoid decisions when you first get started, you can purchase kits that have all the supplies you’ll need.

You will want to decide what type of candles you would like to make. This means size, style, and whether you would like scent. This is something that any candle maker can do, it does not matter what type of candle you would like to make.

You will then want to obtain the wax. This is simple to do; you can get your wax from a candle store, craft store, or right off the internet. You will have to get scented wax for candles that give off fragrances. You will then want to look into candle wax dyes. This is to color the candles however you would like. Some people choose to use crayons for the coloring, but this does not allow the candle to burn as it should.

You will need a wick for the middle of the candle to burn it. Make sure you have the right size for the size candle you’re going to make. The wick should not be too long, or too short depending on the candles size. Use fragrance oils to add more scent or to create your own. This allows you to be creative.

You will want to make sure you put newspaper down since this can be a messy craft. Pick up the molds that you will need to make the certain style candle that you would like.

You can also purchase kits that have all the supplies you need within them. They also have step by step instructions on what is needed to be done. This is the recommended way to go if you’re a beginner at candle making. Once you become more familiar with the craft, then you should get the separate items that you need to create one of a kind candles. Make sure to have fun making them, and create something you will want to show off.

This innate ability may come huge and loud like speedy cars, box-office movies, great books, and even tall buildings. These are all products of thinking. However, the simple things in life create the greatest happiness in the heart. Candle making is one simple indulgence that would make you experience craftsmanship and creation.

Before you get to enjoy the colors, the shapes and the designs for your candle making project, you have to find the right candle wax for this. If you are looking for an inexpensive candle wax, choose a paraffin candle wax. It is a petroleum based wax that could come in powder form. Normally it is neutral in color and you can just add the colors that you desire.

Beeswaxes are those that are gifts from the bees. If you are looking for a wax that is sticky and is easily melted, then this one is the right one for you. Plus it is mildly fragrant and sweet to the nose you don’t need to add up additional perfumes for this.

If you are mother-nature concerned, embrace a soy wax. It is microwavable, meaning you can use your kitchen microwave to melt it. This type of wax burns cleaner and thus reduces the carbon build up. A gel wax is made of mineral and gel agent. It has a high melting point and will take some time for you to liquefy a gel wax. It should also be utilize with caution because it has explosive incidences. Chemistry does not also recommend adding fragrances, oils, and colorants because this could affect the melting point.

If you are a mother who wants to play with your kids and spend quality bonding moments with your little ones, jelly candle wax can be a playful option for you. It comes in easy to squeeze tubes and comes in various colors and scents. You can even use tea lights and they easily melt. And a more advanced candle maker would really enjoy a starburst wax. Starburst wax gives your candles a flaky finish if you dip into this kind of wax.

Identify your type of candle making project and your skills in making them. Then find a candle wax that fits you best. Enjoy!

There are different types of wax for candles. These exquisite pieces did not come like magic. It is a product of passion and creativity. Get acquainted with the various types of wax for candles and get excited whether you are a newbie enthusiast or a professional candle maker.

Paraffin wax is by far the most common and inexpensive type of wax. It can be bought in kilos and may come in chunks, crystals, or powder. Chunks have higher melting point than powder. This is the most common wax candle and widely used too.

Beeswax is known for its aromatic honey scent. It also gives a beautiful flame once burned. Comparing beeswax to paraffin, it gives light much longer. Beeswax has various preparations ranging from blocks, chunks, beads or easy to roll and no need to melt sheets. It is lightly colored that is very close to that of honey.

The newest innovation in candle making is the soy wax. It is natural and is made from soybean. This candle is known to burn less carbon. This is safe for people who have known allergy because it is less likely to be an allergen. It has a creamy and soft texture and is safe to color.

A palm wax is well known because it does not have soot when burned. It is often used with other waxes like beeswax of soywax. Another type is the Bayberry wax. A bayberry wax is known because of its therapeutic aroma and great olive green look. A gel wax is great for professional candle maker use.
Candle making is one of the most colourful and creative hobby an individual could engage into. The experience of creating style and molding arts and shapes can be a fulfilling and a rewarding moment. You can even play with the scents and make your home a relaxing atmosphere. Candle making is not only a hobby but can also make you an entrepreneur if coupled with passion and business strategy. Get yourself hooked up with candles. Explore the availability of different kinds of candle molds.

A candle mold is where you place your wax while it cools down. The wax as it solidifies will maintain the shape of the mold as it cools down completely. These candle molds are made of varying sizes, shapes, materials and style.

An aluminum candle mold is one that is made of aluminum, as the name implies. The key feature of this candle mold is its ability to resist heat making it very durable. It also creates smooth finish to the shaped candle. Since it is aluminum, it is easy to clean and maintain. It requires a releasing agent to be applied to the aluminum mold before pouring the liquid wax so when it solidifies it is easy to take it out of the mold.

Another type is the plastic candle mold. If you are a newbie enthusiast, it is best that you practice your novice candle making by using a plastic candle mold. It is easier to take out the candle out of the mold since plastic offers flexibility. It is also easy to clean this type of mold. It is also the cheapest candle mold available. However, plastic candle molds are not long lasting because it can brittle and break after some time of use.

The last type is a rubber candle making mold which could be made of poplyurethane, latex, and silicone. Among the three subtypes, silicone-made candle mold is the most preferable. A silicon can be stretched making it easy to take out the candle although is a little bit more pricey.

Whether you are making candles for business or hobby, choose a mold that is durable and efficient to suit to your needs. It’s a creation of the mind in a form of colors, styles, and shapes.

Welcome to the creative craft of candle making. Dare your mind to create and push yourself beyond the limits of wonderful craftsmanship. Experience your ability form pieces that are colourful and beautiful for the eyes.

You don’t need a lot of sophistication and state of the art gadgets for you to jumpstart your candle making. This simple and pleasurable indulgence is also grounded in simplicity. Candle making requires only a few and basic materials and of course your desire and passion to make candles. Extra materials will also be needed but there are a lot in your home that will help you get started already.

The most essential and important material is a wax. There are various waxes to choose from ranging from paraffin, beeswax and gel wax. But for starter, it is recommended that you use a paraffin wax. The amount of paraffin that you will melt should be parallel to the size of candle you will make. The next thing that you will need is a wick. The wick is what keeps the candle burning giving light. Another basic would be a mold. Tour around your home and you can improvise the various materials that you have. You can even raid the kitchen and use your old cookie molder for a start. You will also need an external heat for you to melt your candle. The stove in your kitchen can actually do this job for you.

Additional things you will need will be scissors to cut your wick to desired length. You can also add colors. Although there are candle colorants that you can purchase, but if you are using a paraffin wax, you can use crayons. Just melt crayons together with your wax. Fragrances are also fun add-ons. Oil fragrances are an option.

Now that you have the basic kits, go now and jumpstart your way towards making candles!
